Democracy

It’s polling day in the UK, and we have a chance to make a strong statement that we want the Tories out.

I’ve been lucky in that I have consistently lived in areas where the MP and Mayor were people whose views were roughly speaking aligned with mine, namely Sadiq Khan and Rosena Allin-Khan. Sadiq Khan was our MP before he was our Mayor, and while obviously I don’t agree with everything he does, (I don’t agree with everything anyone does), he represents policies which are democratic, fair, open, egalitarian and ecologically responsible. I’ll be voting for him today.
