Books that belong to my wife that someday I will read
March 10, 2021
My wife is a voracious reader of books, some of which I love, some of which I’m happy to ignore. Here are ten books that I can imagine myself getting into some day.
- Look Again, The Autobiography, David Bailey
- The Truths We Hold, Kamala Harris
- How To Be Famous, Caitlin Moran
- Becoming, Michelle Obama
- Why I’m No Longer Talking To White People About Race, Reni Eddo-Lodge
- Women and Power, Mary Beard
- On Beauty, Zadie Smith
- M Train, Patti Smith
- Watch Me, Angelica Houston
- Go Set A Watchman, Harper Lee
She points out that I bought her half of these books. And the half I bought her are not necessarily the half that she’s read.
Curious, that!

Eee Smithylad, do you think the differences between the authors you read and those Fi reads are significant?
Hi James. I’ve added a ‘bought for my wife’ section to the March monthly reading post, (due April 1st). It’s two books long, and is there purely because of Mother’s Day. I suspect I’ll read both books before my wife ever reads them.
